Cabela's Bighorn 2 questions

I bought a used Cabela's Bighorn 2 tent and it's been an awesome tent so far but I can't figure out how the roof protector attaches to the outside of the tent. It honestly makes no sense and I can't find any images on the internet that are detailed enough to show me how. The roof protector has male buckle clips on it, but there's nothing on the outside of the tent for it to attach to. At first I thought the roof protector should just attach to the metal poles, but even then there is nothing to secure to with the provided clips. I can't figure this out, and I really want to be able to use my new woodstove in this tent for some cold weather camping.
Any help is appreciated... Please.

Are you sure the roof protector isnt for the big horn 3? Seem to remeber reading about some chsnges between 2 and 3 with how the roof protectors attached.

Thanks. I think you're right. The writing on the bag that holds the roof protector is pretty faded but I looked more closely and it looks like it reds "Big Horn III" instead of "II".
