I have an iPad with no chip reader but I use a chip adapter for it. I still want to see a bigger screen than a phone.

This is what I use but mine just fits the SD cards. I really like it because it is small, lightweight and it's easy to put in my front pocket next to my phone.

I use something similar to that but for my android. I keep a very large micro SD card in my phone. So I transfer all my pictures or video from the card of the cam to the card in the phone and put the now empty card back in the cam. Then filter out pics and only keep what I really want.
