Black Gold Assault Verdict

So I've done the searches and asked i few people but I'm looking for some input before i drop the 300 bones.  Anybody on here shooting this sight ?  Pro's vs Con's.   I've been shooting my trusty and reliable old Truglo 7 pin fixed forever and it has been a great sight but it's time for a slider I've been shooting with a buddy that has this sight and it is nothing short of incredible.  His set up is the Verdict 4 pin with 2 indicators so he's using his top pin for a floater out to 55 and his bottom pin is also a floater out to 100 ++ .  And he also can "dial of death" it up to the top and lock it down for a fixed pin set up of 20,30, 40,50 kind of like a hybrid sight best of both worlds.   So i know it's been covered but kinda wondering best pin colors and if anyone has there's set up like this     As always thx for your input,  Mike

1st pin  019 - Green- Floater 
 2nd      019- Red
 3rd       019- Green
 4th       019-Yellow
5th pin  019 Green- Floater          20 yd - 60 yd fixed Pins for hunting                                                                                          Top pin floater 20 -55 yrds  Bottom pin floater 60 to 100 +  for 3-D shoots

Oh and not really interested on any other sights but the black gold and there best pin colors.   Thanks

I personally run a 3 pin slider. MBG verdict

Green .19          30yds       
Red .19              40yds
Green .10          50yds

The bottom is my slider and can dial all the way to 125 yds.


I like having 3 pins because there isn't much clutter in the peep and sight.

The difference between 10yds-30yds is about 3 inches so I'm not too worried about it.

Typically if you're outside 50yds you have a chance to dial and deal.

If you're wanting to save some money try archerytalk. Just sign up and if you keep an eye on the classifieds you can probably pick one up for much less. Wish I knew that before shelling it out. Not that it's not worth it it's just I like saving money when I can.

I personally don't believe the micro adjust is necessary.

I also prefer one needle on my slide, i like to keep it simple.

For me if its past 45 or so, and the extra second it takes to dial the sight cost me a shot, i shouldn't be shooting anyway.

I’ve stalled for way to long lol, I wanted this (BG 3-5 Pin) was also equally interested in the “option 6” ....
Still haven’t pullled the trigger....

Fixed a couple things    any black gold shooters can chime in  Anyone using the new pro pins would like to hear about them as well               and i looked at the option 6 & 8  not for me

I just ordered a custom 4 pin Revenge with a dovetail attachment, waiting for it to show up. 

I did .19 red , .19 yellow,  .10 green, .10 red

I'm excited for the quality of this sight.  Any tips for the micro adjustments??? Thought about changing out to a red colored ring surrounding sight but maybe another time.
