I  suppose just depends on how many you have salted away 🤔

Powders and primers aren’t getting any cheaper (not talking panic buying),  buy them as you can afford them and store them appropriately.  Your kids will thank you one of these days.

My biggest regret is not picking up an 8lber or two of RL26 when it was everywhere. The supply of that dried up here over 2 years ago. I’m happy I laid in a supply of “versatile” powders, rl16, big game, h110 and unique before the pandemic and election hysteria. I’m not a super high volume shooter so I’m set for a while.

When supplies return to normal I’ll stock up some more. I made a habit of stopping at bimart every time I was in Aberdeen to pick up a brick of 22lr. I learned my lesson there after the 2009 and 2013 shortages.

My stock is a result of not wanting to go without in times of panic than some fear of impending doom, though.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

After the Obummer years, I started stocking up on everything. I have enough to last quite some time, but we have seriously curtained shooting since the pandemic. And it’s apt to stay that way, until components become available again. From what I’m seeing on this forum, most believe ammo and reloading components will someday be available again. I hope they are right, in the meantime nothing I have is for sale. One day, one of these shortages is going to hit and will never end. With who now occupies the White House, that day maybe sooner than we think. :twocents:

I am sitting good right now.  Been able to help some people that didn’t have any.   Friend just got a custom and had zero powder or primers for it.  People have called me a hoarder, but it seems its always the guys who really want something.  I have 16 pounds of powder and 2k primers  per barrel

Hey, there's probably no chance you'd let me buy back that 8lb'er of Retumbo I sold for the same price is there?  :chuckle:

I was thinking about that!  I am actually meeting a guy today to trade it for primers.

Seeing the stupid crazy prices H1000 and Retumbo is going for on GB and having sold two 8's or each in the last year to guys here for what I paid for it because I didn't really need it and they did, me nice guy I guess maybe, but me stupid guy, definitely!  :chuckle:  :chuckle:

I tried Retumbo.  Just couldn’t get it to shoot in my rifle.  Tell ya what. I’ll sell you an 8 pounder of H1000 for same price as you sold me the Retumbo for? I’ll be coming through that way in about a month.  You doing ok on Primers?  If you don’t need H1000 let me know what powder your in need of!  I might have some extra :)

That would be great if I needed it but I don't so I'd rather see it benefit someone that actually needs it.  Primers, powder, and brass I'm sitting better than good.  Some bullets I'm not so well stocked up but overall pretty good shape for quite some time if things were to get really tight.  I was mostly just yanking your chain and joking around.

No where near what I need to finish reloading the brass I have available but with limited income have to have priorities, which come first food or powder, food usually wins out.
I now right now could use 18# of H335, so until it becomes available range time is non existent.

I tell you what....I’ll be keeping a lot more on hand once the market forces allow supply chains to open up.
