I'm in the market for a mid 40-50hp tractor. I know Deere and Kubota are #1 and 2 in the market but they also cost $10k more. I have narrowed it down to the Kioti NX4510 and the LS MT347. I lean towards the Kioti because of the color lol but that won't be  the deciding factor. Do any of you have experience with Kioti or LS that can help in my decision process? I can't get either one right now do to very low inventory. Thanks

PS don't talk about how awesome Deere and Kubota are. I already know. My budget won't a fit a 4000 series or L60 which would be the comparison to the tractors above. I already got bids.

The specs and warranty line up really well vs Deere and Kubota. Seems like a little more bang for your buck. A place I used to work in Grays Harbor (Harbor Saw and Supply) has been selling a ton of them for quite some time now, I have quite a few friends who own them and are happy with them. I bought a Kubota a few years ago and have been slightly underwhelmed at times

I have a neighbor who had a Kioti.  It worked fine.  He had minor problems with it and parts were a little more of a pain to find then having a local parts store.  He sold it and didn't get what he thought he would out of it.  He wished he had gone with a Kubota just for the resale.

It may not be what you want to hear but I would spend the extra $10k, you will likely get it on the back end and the ease of parts is worth it.

Myself, I have a 40hp 1980's Case.  Right now I can sell it for more then I paid for it 4 years ago, it is just how tractors go sometimes.

I personally don't have any first hand experience on a Kioti. Honestly if you get a chance I'd go and take a look at a Mahindra. They have a great engine, they're built heavy, and they have a great warranty. Currently I believe that they're the number one selling tractor in the world. they're a great bang for your buck tractor.

I have known 2 people who bought Kioti tractors and both got rid of them because of little things always causing issues. One went JD and one Kubota. Like so many things you get what you pay for. Find a good used JD or Kubota and don't look back.  :twocents:

John Deere and kabota are not the only choices for nice tractors.   Don’t rule out Massey Ferguson or new Holland, case, Ford etc.    Lots of very nice tractors out there.   I have owned my Massey for three years now and love it.

I agree lots of nice tractors. The LS and New Holland are same company.

I learned something today.  Also will add a guy can save money with a shuttle shift vs hydrostatic and the shuttle shifts are very easy to work.   Just a thought.

I know a lot of people like Kobota tractors. The one we have at our club is down a lot. Went down today with a broken lift arm. Last month it was the PTO, month before it was hydraulic lines and so on.

I'd factor in which shop you'd be using too if you need service. I run some NH stuff for work, but their shop is the worst. I wouldn't touch anything NH for personal as long as I'm in the area  :twocents:

Don't limit yourself, check into Mahindra and Caser IH.  They all have similar warranties and financing available.  Some of those bigger Mahindra tractors are nice looking pieces of equipment.

Problem is nobody has any in the class I want. I've seen 1 Kubota L60 series but it was sold. John Deere has zero 3r and 4r series. Mahindra said they have no firm ETA on any of there tractors and they don't have any premium series on order. Almost the same thing with Kioti and LS. Kioti I can order the NX5010hst and not to see it by June. But I've never sat in or ran one.

My buddy has a 50hp Kioti. He loves it. I've used it a bunch and really like it. Probably the direction I'm going to go when I get my shop built.

I have a 2015 LS (Leading Solutions) XR4046 w/ 110 hours on it and it's a beast (46 hp). Have not had any issues with it and as stated previously they are the same as New Holland.  From what I have read part numbers are not the same but I believe you can cross reference the two.

MT3 replaced the XR series. Do you ever feel you need more HP? Kioti 45 vs 50 is $1500 diff do I lean 50 but wonder if I acuity need it. Same frame, tires, bucket everything but 5 more hp.

Have not done anything with it yet that I believe the 4hp difference would be of note.  HP has not been the issue for heavy work, but added weight for stability sure comes into play.

I believe the natural "guy think" thing would be to go with the 50hp but would that be more for the potential work load or just bragging rights??   :chuckle:

Well with Kubota 84mo financing being way less than Kioti 84 mo financing I have decided to get an L4060 that I found in stock in Oregon. With Kioti you either pay full sticker to get 0% or Cash price and pay 4%. So the Kubota comes out less expensive Plus I have a Kubota dealer only 20min from the house. The Kioti/LS dealer is over an hour.

I'm getting the L4060 HST Limeted Edition with canopy, 3rd function remote, seat switch for running rear pto without sitting in the tractor, One set of rear remotes, a quick hitch and 72" land grader for $36,800 no tax

No grapples in stock or I would have got one of those also. My buddies have a brush cutter, pallet forks, pto chipper and auger. so we are going to share attachments as needed.

You will love the land grader, They work great on driveways and dry dirt.

Thanks I really feel good about the decision. Now if I could just get a Wicked 60 grapple in less than 4 months I'd be in the chips.

Picked up the new tractor today. Had to wait for the land grader to finally come in. I'm jacked.
