And this is why guys get fired up and start hunting early.  You start reading all the bear sightings and you get fired up and rip roar out of the gate and hunt your tail off and then by the end of April you are flat out wore out and haven't seen a dang thing and oh the crappie are biting....Wow, it's already the end of the season?   :chuckle: :chuckle:
That does have some truth to it. :dunno:
Also some maybe Turkey hunting ,might as well throw the rifle in ,do a little bear scout/hunting while you have filled the tank with gas to go hunting any way.
There will always be a few tag holder that only hunt a few weekends ,early or late  any way.
I hope that many tags will get filled ,reality says probably not,but ohh well it's still fun just getting out there with about forty ticks on ya.

One thing to remember....usually the first bears out of the dens are the big boars.  You may not see as many but you could find the big daddy.  :o

If your gonna hunt early....only do so on the warmer days.

I'll be in the middle of bear country early.  Pick and choose which day to hunt, which day to fish, which day to build fence, and which day to set and enjoy the quiet.  Oh Lord, It's going to be a good spring.
:brew:  I'll keep a few yellow jacket's in the creek.

I plan on playing the odds, hunting for a mature boar with a quality color phase pelt and low fat meat.  Won't be hunting out of my truck like I was three years ago and have more time to work with.  It would be the first and likely the last pelt I keep.  I plan on continuing applying for spring bear and dragging the pelt out as long as required.  Whatever it takes to keep the season.

I'll be checking the cams this week to see what is waking up.  I suspect we will have a few running around but the masses are still hanging out in...or close to the den with the cold nights.

This quote is perfectly said.  Maybe add that the credit card is smoking from the gas stations.

I'll burn all my fuel getting to hunting camp.  From there I walk and whistle them in.   :fire.:  :hunter:

Watching the snow levels building up. There's some wind so watch out for drifting. 😲
