Need help with GMU's 113, 117, 124 please!

Well my buddy and I both didn't tag our mulies and wanted a shot at a late whitetail... We get 3 days off of college and would like to go to one of these three units, (Selkirk, 49 Degrees north, Mount Spokane)
Our normal spots have been posted and haven't had a chance to go up there lately due to school...
I would really appreciate someone familiar sending us in the right direction to run into a decent whitey that could be found on public/forrest land.
We will be camping out in a tent and don't mind a long tough hike in if thats what it takes...
Plan on leaving friday after school and hunting sat, sun, mon.
Please help! And thanks in advance, Max

Do you have a blind or tree climber?
Any public land in any of these areas will work. Go into the woods about 30-40 yards and sit. Tiny clearings or breaks in the woods can be excellent. The first half hour and last half hour are perfect for calling them in with a HS True Talker or rattle bag. Also scents can bring them in at any time of the day especially around noon. I don't prefer clear cuts unless you have a doe tag. The bucks are very nocturnal with the exception of this week and into the late rut.
Be ready to sit in the same spot for about 3 - 4 sessions - 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. My cousin sat in the same spot for 3 sessions then went to a new location so my father went to that location on foot (no tree stand or blind) and tagged a 185 lb dressed out 5 pt, 2 1/2 yo. It bent the game cart and is the largest whitetail I've ever seen. Make sure you are absolutely scent free. If not forget the hunt and go home.
If you want to stock your whitetails then don't expect anything over 2 1/2 yo withing a weekend hunt. I've hunted whitetail since the early 90's and have had my chance at only 5 bucks but too many does to count. Don't ask why I have only one to show for it. I've seen maybe a dozen antlers bounding through the woods without a shot because I took so long to catch on to the importance of being scent free. I finally got tired of getting busted.

Thanks, I think we will do a littl hiking and then a little sitting and maybe some rattling. Any specific pub areas you reccomend?

North of Chewelah, take a left in Blue Creek and head west. There is some timber land in between the farm land.
In Selkirk near Cusik, head east along the Kings Lake rd. This road goes over a pass and into Idaho. Along the way I've seen some open areas with lots of sign. Two years ago I was tracking a Bull in fresh snow. At the top of a ridge I saw deer tracks everywhere and they were only hours old.

Sorry I wouldn't deprive my hunting partners of good areas by getting any more specific. You might find me hanging from a tree if I give out too much info.

I would stay relatively low and close to the river.....within a couple miles. anything remotely close to spokane gets pounded by hunter, same goes for chewlah and colville. they all produce deer but are not as infested as other areas. your chances for a hanger buck run pretty good, just hunt hard and have fun.
