112,000 miles isn’t much especially on pavement for a aluminum body , wait till it hits 250,000 miles and see if it’s still together. It’s some poising match going on but I just know that I’ll keep driving my Tacoma everywhere I need to go
The same basalt hunting roads in Central Washington that rattled the rear window out of my Tacoma (I'm lucky it didn't drop completely out and break) are no issue for my F150.

Maybe those flexy Toyota frames are by design?

No love for the Ford F------ Rangers!  I had both toy and ranger I will say Rangers are close second place.  Darn good trucks for light duty use.  Still a 1980's Toy Hilux is great imop.

That'd be like giving a Benjamin to a drunken hobo.

I can't be positive, but he may not like them. If only he'd give us some indication. :dunno:

Why haven't you bought those flex window tensioners? I've been running them for years on those basalt roads and never had an issue. Even in 5th gear. :dunno:

My old assistant Scout Master said that all roads are smooth at a certain speed, you just need to find the right speed and all is good.  He drove an old early 70's station wagon and claimed most gravel roads were like driving on glass around 60 mph.  I rode to summer camp with him once, only once.  Sometimes it just takes the knowledge and skill to properly operate the machine.   :chuckle:

I actually did this two years ago, late into elk camp for archery season.
24psi in the tires and about 40mph on basalt.
It works, though I don't recommend it.
We topped a rise and had 3 screaming bulls and about 80 cows in front of us.
We bailed out into the woods and it was the first time my son was within feet of a screaming bull.
It hooked him on archery elk.
If it wasn't a true-spike season, we would have been tagged out in minutes.

Considered one for the wife but the F-150 was the obvious choice for us. The Ranger is smaller and nimbler but that shortbed F-150 really fits places.

I hate that Ford got my money but darn it they sure did.
