None of the FD meals are restaurant quality but they make a turd, and if you can get em on sale, jump on them.

Silverdale Costco had the same deal a week or so ago.....I'm just not into that stuff.

To each their own. I've tried others and they are good but I still like mountain house too.

I agree.

Looks to be their normal value pack mix. Thanks OP

As MH inches up their pricing i buy less. The Blanchards have been trying a bunch lately to see what my daughter is going to like as she is backpacking into idaho with me this season for her first big kid hunt. Here in Yakima you can buy a MH for $9-10 or peak refuel for $11. The peaks are so much better in taste and quality than MH. If I could still buy MH for 6 or 7 bucks I'd not even be entertaining other more expensive brands. Peak refuels have higher nutritional value and use half the water as well which is big in the back country. I still dehydrate a ton of my own meals and there are MH flavors that ill never leave home without but man the bar has definitely moved up a few notches over the years.

Peak refuel is far superior IMO I don’t even mind spending a few more $$$ for it.
I still love MH chilli Mac though  :chuckle:

Few of the peaks that were pretty mediocre were the 3 bean chili mac and the sweet pork and rice.  MH that will always find their way into my pack are the pasta Primavera,  rice and chicken, chicken noodle, phad thai, and chili mac

As someone that has never had a freeze dried meal and going to start backpacking this year this deal seems like a great way to try a few different flavors for cheap. Thanks for posting.

The cheese in the lasagna is like actual concrete on your spoon. Its good but that cheese will take a good amount of teeth scraping to get off. I recommend packing a spork from a fast food place to eat that particular meal :chuckle:
