Favorite coyote bullets
«
on:

Just curious what folks are using for coyote bullets. I haven't been sucessful, but am carrying 40gr Ballistic Tips around. I think it might be too light but am curious what other folks are using.
Thanks,
jb

i use 55 grain nosler ballistic tips, not so much because im shooting at coyotes but because i worked up a load that puts three shot groups in one hole at 100 yards and 1/2" or less at 200 out of my AR

50 gr V-Max (Black Hills blue box) or 52 gr TNT (Ultramax)... only because they are overall the most accurate loads for my .223s.

vmax all the way. I have shot a couple of dogs with them now and no exit hole. 40 grain out of the 22 hornet is great coyote medicine.

40,50-55gr vmax, 53gr Amax, 40gr sierra varminter, and 50gr TNT all work great out of a .223 or 22-250 as long as you dont hit the edges.
