This was a quick weekend hunt. But ended up being an amazing dream hunt for coyotes. Seen 15 total between 2 of us. Spot and stalk, calling, etc. Everything came together. Amazing pelts. Shot at 6. Smoked every one of them. Few other close opportunities. Kept things exciting the whole trip. Could'nt have been any better.
:yeah:

Quick morning hunt this past Saturday. Called this guy in on the second setup. Saw him hang up at 312 yards so I had to reposition myself to get a shot. I was sitting in the shade so that helped conceal my movements.

Nice Dmoua. Keep up the good work.

Coyote hunting is addicting. With bobcats closing soon will probably keep focus on new yote spots for future trips for now. Had close calls on a 2 bobcat and a cougar this season but they snuck out on me. The predator numbers were at an all time high this season for me. With the yotes providing the action gonna try to have more outings with those in the near future.

Heading north of wenatchee in the lowlands can be productive. Behind ranches or staying in rolling hills and sage. Plenty of land headed up toward Chelan/Entiat area or toward methow twisp areas. Further north you get the less pressure you will see. Getting away from major towns and cities. But staying low along valleys and lowlands. Go get some.

Couple more dogs down. Have seen 12 in the last few days. Missed an easy shot. Not sure what happened. Rock solid rest at 90 yards. Oh well. First miss of the year. But dropped 2 today so far. Called 1 pair into 15 yards within 10 seconds on the call. Had them bedded right below. Got the one from the pair. Other hightailed it outa there quickly. The other was shot at 205 yards early in the morning.

Let's go for one more and call it good for a bit. 150 yard shot.

Nice. I have noticed this year the males have had kinda poor coats too them but the females have had beautiful hides. Anyone notice similar with the coyotes you've harvested? Wonder why that is.

The males I shot earlier in the year had really nice hides.

I don't like snakes either but I think it's still pretty cold for snakes to be out or I just haven't seen any yet.

Nice job! What caliber you shooting? I went out this weekend and got 2, 1 at 300, the other at 290. The 22-250 is off to a good start!
