How are Idaho guns shows compared with WA? I'm in Monroe and have been to the gun show here a number of times (though COVID seems to have possibly killed those for a while). Are the shows pretty much the same in Idaho? Same basic inventory, same basic rules and laws, etc?

I have gotten some deals on ammo and other accessories. But also wondering about the difference in rules and laws? Do you have to have membership? FFL? etc?

If they're licensed/dealer then probably do need an FFL. Sometimes you can find deals but in my experience, there is a lot of price gouging. You'll find some tables that do cash and carry.Ones I've been to there's just a fee to enter. I was at the Moscow one last weekend and it was $9 to get in. I haven't been to one since pre-covid and seemed to be a lot less stuff this time around. Seemed like about a third of it was non-firearms related.
Correct me if I am wrong however, but I think there are some Federal restrictions for interstate transactions - even private party. So if you make a purchase in ID, and you are from WA:-handguns would need to be shipped to a WA FFL-Long guns need an FFL but can use an ID FFLAm I remembering this correctly?

I hate our state. Wasn't too long ago I met with a police officer at one of their shooting ranges and we simply traded guns. Was no big deal. 2 responsible adults doing a reasonable transaction that will never be an issue to anyone ever.

If I have my facts straight - not 100% that I do - these would be Federal laws, not State. So While WA does indeed suck.... this particular suckage comes from DC!
Interstate Gun SalesFederal law for interstate gun sales and other transfers – those occurring between two people who are not Federal Firearm Licensees (FFLs) who live in different states — is pretty straightforward. A person who is not an FFL cannot acquire a handgun from anyone – an FFL or any other person – who lives in another state. A person (the “transferee”) acquiring a long gun must do so through a licensed dealer (FFL). It can be an FFL in any state, the transfer must comply with the laws of the FFL’s and the transferee’s states.....The only exceptions relate to things like gun repairs. If you need to send your gun out of state to an FFL manufacturer, you can so do directly without going to a local FFL. That FFL manufacturer can also send your gun back to you directly.
Who would know if you bought from an Idaho private party and took the gun home to Wash.?
