I love my Pflueger President.  Very smooth and easy flip action that stops on a dime.  May want to look into the XT model for larger spool capacity.

I’m in the market for a spinning reel for 10-14 pound test line and
Fresh water use. I don’t gear fish too often but I have a couple reels I need to replace just in case and I’ve been out of the loop for a while. Probably under $100 or so would be my budget.
Thanks in advance.
I have A LOT of fishing gear as that is my main hobby, I have had tremendously good experiences with Pfleuger President reels, and Penn FierceII for being very good for low cost. I have some of ABU Garcias new REVO X Winch spinning reels and they are phenomenal although they cost almost 3 times as much as the other two I've mentioned.

Another vote for Pflueger President or Shimano Sahara. I’ve had a lot of use out of both for steelhead and salmon in the rivers.

Not sure if you’re trying to give me a free reel. Super nice of you if so…why don’t you find a kid to give it to. Thank you.

Shimano Sedona, or a Lews. I really like my Lews baitcasters, I bet the Lews Spinning reels are excellent as well.

Will do

I should have added a recommendation, I have been comparing the cs10 with the shimano ci4+ and find the cs10 a great value for the price. It’s been over a year now. No complaints about either. The Diawa BG15 is one that I used for 39 years with no issues it’s now in the display case.
Cheers

I've been using Shimano exclusively since the late 80's.
The newer reels we have are

Spirex: 5+1 bearings, double handle if you like that, but a lil small for 14lb
Syncopate: 3+1 bearings,  but a lil small for 14lb
Sedona: only 3+1 bearings, but smooth.

The top two have the quickfire system which is why I chose Shimano(still have 2 functioning 80's graphite reels from then) and are used for stream fishing for trout

I'm a big Shimano fan, in my eyes no other brand will have as smooth as a drag as a Shimano. To answer your question I'd look at the naski. its a salt and freshwater rated reel so you can do more with it.

Total Shimano guy here for like 20 years. I have the Stradic, Sedona, Sahara, Spirex, There is no better reel in the line than the Stradic. However those are $200 or more.
Right now they have the Sahara at Sportsman for $79. That would be my go to in the 4000 size for 12-15 pound line. Cant go wrong with a mid to upper level Shimano.
