I think this one got a little overseen with a lot of the other higher profile changes and cancellations this season. Please take time to make a comment on allowing for blood tracking of large game animals with the use of a single leashed dog.

This will help reduce a lot of lost harvest and get some more useage out of our beloved companions.

I commented to support. Great idea and past due.
Looking at those comments, there is a lot of confusion over the #1 part of that proposal. People are thinking it does away with all night hunting (does not) and even bird hunting (does not). For a minor clarification it is not very clear it seems.

#1-A minor clarification to rule language that it is unlawful to hunt any wildlife at night and that it is unlawful to hunt wild animals, except rabbits and hares, with hounds during established modern firearm general deer and elk seasons during the months of October and November. Please note that this is a clarification only and not a substantive change to the existing rules regarding night hunting.

It's not very clear, but yes- only not during open modern deer or elk seasons in Oct-Nov.
That applies to night hunting and/or any hound hunting for mammals, except rabbits/hares

Been doing this since I moved to Washington in 2010.  Had no problem whatsoever convincing my local, tribal, and WA game enforcement that actually finding their shot game was better than leaving it to waste.  Never hurts when you find something that they know was poached but couldn't find the animal.
