Grayback unit ????

Anybody hunt the Grayback unit??? I will be archery hunting up there next week and was hoping for some info on where to go ???? not anyones honey-hole or anything but a good place to start..

any input is greatly appreciated

It really depends what you are looking for, I was over there last weekend and saw tons of deer however, i saw very few bucks and only one real nice one. Sucess in this area is very dependent on the weather and your hunting stategie. I strongly recommend a stand or sitting on a trail. You will not see as many deer but your chances of getting one are alot better. I usually hunt Grayback, Soda Springs, Anderson, and the River Breaks. It doesn't look like we are going to get the weather we need for a good hunt over there, at least not for the opener. Also, there are alot of deer down toward Klickitat and Wahkacus Heights has a few too. Good Luck, see you over there.

That  area  ia  very  weather dependent....Ive hunted there for years.A old timer told me a story of were when it was open clear thru december you would see heards going thru by the 100s........Enless there is snow i dont go.That place gets alot of that freezing rain wich makes for very load walking....
