Wenatchee Walmart parking lot
« on: November 14, 2007, 11:54:33 AM »
Thought I would tell a little story. Looks like the rut has pretty much entered full swing now, I was at walmart in wenatchee last night at about 11 o'clock to pick up a few things and was just leaving when 22" four point was herding six does across the parking lot and up into the neighborhood.  Kind of made my night being able to see some deer.  Anybody else see anything similiar to this lately?

I seen a post from a guy up in Port Townsend on another website, and he kinda saw the same thing but blacktail.  I think it was behind a McDonald's or something

A month or so ago I was in the park right across from Home Depot in Wenatchee.  3 does and 2 fawns were just strolling down the hill while I watched all the cars cruise by.  I would bet twenty dollars that the buck you saw is courting those does down in the Horan birding area.  There are two big red and white cell towers in that area towards the Columbia.  Trust me, there are a bunch of deer in there.

Two weeks ago I watched a big two point chasing a doe around at work up off of Machias she wanted nothing to do with him.

There is a nice little herd of does and small bucks with a pretty decent full bodied 4x4 that I see regularly. Get this, inside the Paul Bunyon Shooting Range about 1/4 mile from my house on the South Hill of Puyallup.

Alchase, I lived about a mile from that range in Puyallup this summer for a couple months this summer and it looked kind of deery around that area!

Used to see deer walking along the runway at Paine Field in Everett all the time but haven't seen em for a while.  See does in the Snohomish valley all the time around this time of year but never running through the store parking lots!  Must be looking for handouts like free donuts and stuff :chuckle:

Crab, we moved in a new house there two years ago. In the first week we had a pack of coyotes walking straight down our street all yammering at the same time. This would have been really cool if it was not at 3;15 in the morning and every dog in the neighborhood went ballistic at the same time, LOL.
