My daughter just now had a youth deer permit show up. This means she'll get to hunt the weekend before general season opens. (GMU 667)

Looks like nothing for me but that's exactly what I expected.
Awesome! Do you have a Vail pass, or have they been letting the Youth in that weekend without a pass?

No I don't. I didn't plan on hunting on Weyerhaeuser. I wish though, it would probably be a lot easier. Although this way I'll be closer to home and won't have to burn up hardly any of that $6 gas!

Two or three years ago I know they let the youth in for that one weekend, even if they didn't have an access pass. I just don't know if they have continued to do that.

I’m so positive I didn’t draw anything, I haven’t even looked yet.

Yeah I had heard of that as well. I guess I'll try emailing them and asking about it. Especially if she drew the buck tag.

Has anyone seen any youth elk permits yet? I really expected my daughter to draw with her 4 points.

I wonder if I can get a refund on my 18 points in a couple of categories, since they don't seem to matter.  Give me my money back and I will start again with one point and have about the same odds.  geeez
