Old Fenwicks
« on: June 06, 2022, 12:53:15 PM »
I have a 85, 85c and a 89c that I’m looking at getting rid of. Does anyone on here have any knowledge or desire for these so I don’t have to deal with putting them up on eBay? Any info would help. Thanks

I have 4 HMG.... FS-83c's.
Great, historic, rods.

If I were you I would put them up on Ifish or Piscatorial Pursuits.

Certain folks will pay good money for them. I have some so can't be of help. Curious why you would be parting with them.

I am also curios, I have a Fenwick Fly Rod That was hand built by Mr. Fenwick for my Dad Back in 1974.
My very wealthy uncle bought my Dad a lifetime membership to the Catskills Fly Fishing Club. At that time Mr. Fenwick hand made a Fly Fishing Rod for each new member.
Funny part is my Dad had never fly fished in his life. He was an obsessed Steal head fisherman, usually found on the Sky in the 2-bit hole.
I inherited my Dad's rod when He passed in 2003. It has never been used, and kept in the velvet wrap, in the original case.

Fenwick fly rods are important in the Catskills.

I’ve got a Fenwick Boron X 7.5’ 5 weight rod that belonged to my grandfather. I love that thing. Great small stream fly rod. I only wish it was a 3 weight.
