It’s rough for me out here… 😂 Getting around in the snow has kicked my ass. Couple days ago I was 104 yards from the little Whitetail. Couldn’t get close. Not looking good for notchin the tag

Tomorrow’s the last day. I have the day but leaning towards a morning hunt and trekking home… See how that morning hunt goes.

My observations.
One area I must just be going about it wrong. Haven’t turned up but a lone doe. Snow everywhere has made it at least for me tough to trek through.

Another area has turned up 3 bucks. Two of them I got a glimpse of two days later.

Third area seems to have yielded the same three bucks as well. Group of 6 tonight with I believe two of the bucks I’ve seen before. Spotted them with just 5 min of light left at roughly 170 yards and just couldn’t close the distance in time.

From what I’ve seen nothing seems to be moving around much and little to none day time activity. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m definitely not the greatest hunter either. 😂

I appreciate all the DMs and help I received. Tag went unfilled.

Ran into the half rack buck this morning and the nice full rack Whitetail. Storm brought in some new deer and had I been more focused on filling the tag rather than sight seeing perhaps I would’ve gotten a chance. I saw a group first light. Deemed them as does and moved on. Later watched them and wasn’t until I tried filming them that I noticed there was a buck with them. 🤦‍♂️ Tried to get on them but they were already on the move. Think I maybe go to 80 yards.

Was an enjoyable hunt. Most huntable bucks I’ve really ever seen. So cool to see the same deer day after day or days later being a limited entry permit. Look forward to possibly drawing again.

Sounds like a great experience, even without a botched tag. Thanks for keeping us posted.
