Or would my 12 guage shotgun work and what choke and shot to use?9

If there is still a Joes open down there, you might want to see if it has a 223 or 204 in stock still. There prices are just becomin reasonable. And also as jackelope said, there is a 223 for sale in the classified. Single shot though.
