Daughter's bear!
« on: August 06, 2022, 04:19:01 PM »
My oldest daughter has hunted everyday of the season with me so far and she got it done this morning.  We were watching a small bear low in the cut first thing this morning that was getting a pass then all of a sudden it takes off running and I kinda knew a bigger bear was somewhere close.  Bigger bear popped out about 100 yards above the smaller bear.  We set up 3 times on this bear trying to decide if we were going to shoot it.  At one point it was under 50 yards from us but we couldn't get a good look or shot.  It finally climbed up on a stump at 150 yards and I gave her the go ahead if she wanted to take the shot.  She touched one off out of her new Browning xbolt in 7mm08 and bear "didn't go twenty"
