I read some older threads on HuntWa that referenced the 460 Rowland, but didn't see anything recent that has used the new V2 recoil damper. I've done the online research in various forums, but always respect inputs of local HuntWa members. So thought I'd throw out a few questions and solicit some feedback. I've got a Kimber 45acp Stainless II that I am considering doing the 460 Rowland Conversion kit on so that I can shoot 45acp for most of my practice and be able to change to 460 Rowland ammo for woods carry. Depending on the ammo 460 Rowland puts the power somewhere between a 10mm and 44Mag.
Has anybody on here installed the 460 Rowland Conversion kit recently?
Has anybody done it on a Kimber?
Have you tried their new V2 Recoil Damper? That thing sounds too good to be true, but from all the reviews I've read it works. I'd like to hear from local members though.
If you have done the kit, did you have to get the additional springs kit to cycle 45 acp properly? And if in a Kimber, which spring worked best for both 45acp and 460 Rowland?
Thanks in advance for any replies. I haven't bought the kit yet (it's on backorder anyway) but am getting more serious about pulling the trigger on it.
