New bow grips angle
« on: September 23, 2022, 09:22:15 AM »
I’m shooting a 2011 Hoyt Carbon Element with Z5 cams.
It does the job but has the thicker grip, the newer grips are thinner and provide more consistent hold.  Shooting off the riser doesn’t work because it changes my draw length.
The new Hoyt grip (won’t fit older bows) is thinner, and advertises being straightened about 4 degrees putting more pressure on the middle of the hand than the heel.
Ultra view archery sells a hard grip called the ultra grip that advertises an additional 5 degree angle “to help steady your hold”.
Aargh!
Thoughts/experience with this?
Thanks
