trout fishing should be awesome at fish lake...especially if you have a boat. you can rent one at the cove. lots of planter trout, also good perch fishing. some people say there's big brown trout in there too...have to fish deep and get away from all the planters.
lake wenatchee i think is not as popular a fishing place unless they open it for sockeye.

Fish lake is insane with fish. We used wedding rings and some flies there and caught fish all day until the sun put them down. Used to be about 1 brown for every 3 rainbows, not sure how they stock it now, but ditto that on the bruiser's. There are some trout in there that look like steelhead, you'll see them rolling, but they don't seem interested in much. Some of the streams near there are worth a try to, when they open.

Fish Lake, unless you've got a desire to catch and release a bull trout in Lake Wenatchee.  If you get tired of catching planter trout in Fish Lake, try trolling a big Rapala - your catch rate will go way down, but you might get a brown or rainbow to measure in pounds instead of inches.  Highly recommend renting a boat from the Cove.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Fished Lake Wenatchee last summer and only caught bull trout which are protected. Fish Lake is the better bet for keepers. Only a couple miles apart. Wind does blow every day from 11am until 3 or 4 pm. Have a blast. Mike
