Last chance Chinook in lapush
« on: October 02, 2022, 08:33:18 AM »
Wondering if anyone is making the trip to Lapush for the late Chinook season?
I’m thinking about trying it this year, haven’t done it before but hear the fish are under 5 miles out and possibly some giants. Any advice or previous experiences out there would love to hear thanks in advance.

I love that fishery but I haven’t made it out there for years.  I’ve done well with anchovies rigged in the plastic head trolled slowly behind a dodger.   The bait balls that you mark are mostly anchovies.  A herring rig works well on them if you want to jig your own.

Fishing is in close but keep an eye on the weather, it can blow up quickly this time of year.
