I am getting ready to take my 8 year old son out with me for his first adventure at big game hunting. My wife and daughter are also going, but my boy will most likely be the only one in the field with me. I decided not to take him out on the opener on Saturday due to wanting him to have a very positive first experience in deer country without being in a pumpkin patch with all of the opening weekend madness. I will be leaving this Saturday through the end of modern season with the hopes of finding us a buck to feed our family. I have been pretty successful the last few years with where I go (east side), but am looking to spread my area of opportunity. With that said, I am hoping to get in contact with a few land owners that may let a father and son hunt their property. I have been hunting for a very long time as a purely public land hunter and have never gone the route of trying to get landowner permissions. I know this is a lot to ask and very short notice, but i figured I would give it a shot as i see a lot of positive people in these forums and hoping that someone might be willing to help my son and I have a successful hunt this year! Thank you everyone and happy hunting!
