Recently acquired a 16” .308 ar-10. It’s a small frame and pretty light. Probably will get an 18 in 7-08 barrel or stay as is with addition of a suppressor. But for now I’m looking for recommendations of an optic.
Requirements:
1) Must be rugged
2) Must dial reliably for thousands of rounds
3) Good eye relief and FOV
4) Illuminated reticle
5) 2x magnification on low end preferred. Would consider 3x with enough FOV. Don’t want a 1-8. Don’t need magnification over 10x but if it has it it’s fine.
My ideal scope would be my SWFA 3-9 in 2-10 magnification with an illuminated reticle.
So far I’ve seen the nightforce nxs 2-10, but have heard a lot of folks having issues with the diopter. Anything else to look at?
