Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

There are so many bears in there its not even funny. To bad you didn't get a tag RR. It would of been a pretty easy hunt for your first bear.

yes there's a good amount of bears in there but i couldn't disagree more about a "easy" hunt, have you actually hunted bear in there?

Yea I have hunted bears in there. I took my buddy in last year on the spring hunt, and he got a 6' bear. Not big but decent. We went back to the same place on the regular opener and he shot another, this time a sow. My other buddy shot a bear 500 yards from where we killed the other two, the second day of regular, and it was 6'6". I saw 2 bears opening day of modern, two more a couple days later. Only saw 9 bears in there last year but I didn't go in that much. That was just last year.

I wouldn't waste my time trying to call bears. Imho I think it is more effective to use binos.

[/quote]yeah calling bears to within 10 to 30 feet is a waste of time, spotting one a few hundred yrds out and shooting it is much more rewarding, you don't have to worry about the Adrenalin rushing through out your body.or the actual skill and time put in for such an effort being as rewarding as as poking one way out there..besides I like wasting my time.maybe someday I can be a legend in my own mind
