Catch record card + halibut option???
« on: March 19, 2023, 07:15:33 AM »
Went online to update my license this morning and I can not find the option to purchase a catch record card with halibut.  It shows the regular catch record card and even says if you want halibut you need the catch record card + halibut.  Tried navigating around several ways and can't get that to come up.  Anyone else have this issue or am I just not doing this correctly???

There’s no halibut seasons for the rest of this license year maybe that’s why? Are you making sure you’re specifying 2023-24 season?

Good point.  I thought I was on the correct year but last night was a bit steep on the drinking for St. Patricks day.  I'll double check.  Thank you for the suggestion!

Tried to add the halibut to my catch record card a couple days ago at Freddie’s when I bought the 2023 Get Outdoors license package and they said the halibut card portion wasn’t available yet??? Seems like typical wdfw I wasn’t surprised- lol

Emailed WDFW yesterday and got this reply:

"Thank you for contacting the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.  We are working on the Halibut issue, we are hoping it will be fixed before April 1, 2023"

The 1st isn't the most convenient but I guess you can add it later.  Oh well
