Camera is back in the woods............5-30-09

My bro, the pup and i, went up at the crack of dawn on a mission to find the best secret squirrel spot to set the camera.  We were able to get up a lot higher this weekend as the snow really was hit hard by the rising temps.
We took EVERY precaution this time and really hope we got a good spot this time.

We put out 2 jars of Skippy PB, a large bag of meat scraps and fat cut offs, and a large bag of BUCK and DOE feed.

cross your fingers guys!
hoping to get some elk and cougar this time...

Yeah!
we are pretty excited about this spot.
there is a creek/stream just down the hill from our setup..lots of green grass and some skunk cabbage nearby....
i just hope our visitors are more interested in the PB and feed than they are in our camera.

Your a lucky guy BB to have your brother share your passion and spend this kinda time together outdoors.  I have two brothers, one I live with, and one in Boise.  Unfortunately I live with the one who has no interest in hunting.  Definitely wish my older brother was closer so we could get out like you guys do.  I don't think I would be anywhere but the woods on the weekends.

i couldn't have said it better myself.
my brother and i are closer than we ever have been before and i really cherrish the time in the woods we have been having and this trial cam give us even more excuse to be the woods.

Damn Backwoods looks more like a picnic than a trail cam setup!!!

The Birds will be on the meat the first day. The best way I have found is to place it so it cannot be seen from above. Under a tree or branches,logs,rocks. If there are no tree's available I will place large rocks on top of the meat.
