Anyone ever fish Bumping Lake? I’m taking my boys 2, 4, 8, camping up there. I’m bringing my boat along. Any tip, tricks, or info is appreciated.

I’ve been there a couple times.  I caught rainbows, only one small Kokanee.  Up near the far end by the island was best.

I’ve fished it a few times too. Caught several nice cutthroats (16 inches), a few nice RB’s quite a few planters and some small kokes. I like it up there when the weather cooperates.  I usually troll up the East or south side towards the river inlet

I’m not sure if the fighter jets still fly through there but one came right over my dad at 20’( probably more than 20’ :chuckle:) but it put him on the floor of the boat :chuckle:

YouTube koke fishing at bumping there must be some videos. The kokes are small but there’s tons of them. Koke fishing is very specific. You really need to target them with the right gear at the right depths to do well but once you get it figured out it’s very successful fun fishery.
