Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Nice buck!  Tell us about the hunt?

Well we hiked up into the area we wanted to hunt while it was still dark, and by the time we got up there I was ROASTING!!  So I got situated and took my Pack and Coat off to cool down a bit.  I was sitting just over the west side of the ridge and was watching a small cresent shaped shelf that ran around the ridge part way down, connecting to a large draw on the right.  Well a bit after shooting light I was finally cooled off (FREEZING!) so I decided to stand up and get my coat back on, well I got half way up and saw some deer coming up the draw to the shelf so I dropped back down (my partner and his son were up on the flat top of the ridge basking in the warmth of the beautiful sun while watching the other end of the same draw).  It turned out to be 3 does and they slowly crossed in front of me walking that shelf from my right to left and around the corner.  As all of hunters have done many times I am watching the shadow's on the tree's across from me SLOWLY lower as the sun is coming up, very slowly I might ad LOL.  So finally I decide I need to stand up for a bit and get some sun on me!  So I stand up and have the sun now down to at least my lower back, and man I am in heaven.  Well while enjoying the warmth of the long awaited sun I catch just the slightest glimpse of some tine off to my left where the shelf comes around the corner! at that point I freeze, I am standing there still as can be till I can see a bit more tine and am confident that he has lowered his head.  Well finally he lowers his head and I drop down to my original postion behind a down dead tree and wait, he took what seemed like for ever to come around the corner.  He came very hesitantly at first, but once he was finally all the way around the corner he must have decided he was safe because he just walked the rest of the way very non chalauntly, well that is until he met his demise  :chuckle:

There ya go, that's it in a nutshell.

If we couldn't always hope for something bigger, how many of us would still put as much effort into hunting...?
