Sierra Pacific Timberlands- Closed WA
« on: August 17, 2023, 07:37:59 AM »
As expected, Sierra Pacific just closed their lands in Cowlitz and (2) other WA counties.

Last year the guys with Weyerhaeuser Access Permits were going in when it was closed. Talking with Sierra Security, they're going to be ready for the elk opener in September, if it's still closed. Either way, they plan on handing out some pretty hefty tickets for the guys going in.

How did the Weyerhaeuser people get in?  Did their keys work on the gates or were they coming in from a different direction?

If it's like it has been in the past down there it's hunters with Weyco passes (Weyco is open) driving through to the border with Sierra (or Campbell) and accessing the closed for fire properties that way.
Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.

Spot on Bullkllr.

Every year when Sierra closes for fire danger, guys with Weyerhaeuser permits drive in to the border gates and go in. There are a few gates that aren't on the main lines and they mainly use those gates. They have the entire area to themselves.

Heck, when Sierra finally opened up their lands, I found one gut pile off the 1050 and another off of the 2252. They were at least a week old. But at least they got their bulls, that's all that counts 8)
