The veterans waterfowl opener is today, and Haley wants to wish everyone a happy new year! She was happy as Christmas this morning. Her collar was hunter orange when we left the house, you can see it isn’t, anymore.

Got worried for a bit, then noticed yer prolly in NoDak. We get the first weekend February which has been stellar for relaxed big birds. Wat to take advantage of the little perks we've earned. Salute!

Yeah, I’m in North Dakota. It’s shaping up to be a real good waterfowl season this year. Lots of water & tons of fat ducks & geese. Bird counts are about 80% higher than last year. Which is good because the crops are coming out late this year so there won’t be much for pheasant hunting maybe until November.
