Not any more! As soon as I get his email I'll get him the rest of the pictures. I'll let him fill in the details.

We went for shad this morning with the kids, ideally needing them (shad) for hooking into the debated over and over again Over sized guys up near the dam... Hey, when in Rome right..... I'll tell you this, there was no shortish of guide boats fishing for the OS... First time up there- quite beautiful if I don't mind stating.... Well Shad sucked really bad, after a few hours of not catching one. Even F & G guy said yesterday was hot and only a couple people hooked into them today, anyhow being a bit discontented about NOT catching a freaking minnow, we decided to go for a few Sturgeon, maybe a couple barbequers... See I thought this Robodad curse had me going down on the catch of shame.
Anyhow,we hit a couple areas, then Tmike strikes for a decent guy, under the minimums so back he goes for another forthy years of growth.... Then my kids and I each tag a fish, but still under the mark for having lunch, some more than others for sure....... Well, we decided that it was time to go, 1430hrs, we had to get back to watch the Det-Pitts blow out.....
Start putting stuff away, cleaning up the boat and securing items for the drive... When out of the corner of my eye I see the last rod needing put away bouncing and peeling line like a run away train, game on! What we came for....
I start thumbing this freight train to slow him down, when my rubber gloves burn through, ouch... that hurt... Fish heads straight for two other boats 200 yards down river and decides to take an aerial jump so we get a good view, right on- I am stoked at this time, thinking about ten plus footer plus, about the same time we had what resembled a Chinese fire drill and circus going on in the boat at the same time, trying to get kicker going while thumbing the fish, Tmike tossing the anchor line over board, my kids on the camera and of course watching Dad do his magic
Down river we go, one more half jump by the mighty beast to break us off, too bad it didn't work, the fish then cuts through four other lines of another boat, too cool they hurriedly reeled in and give us thumbs up that the fish is out of their lines... 20 or so minutes we had it next to the boat 1000 yards down stream, probably around the nine foot range, well 8 foot 12 inches plus or minus a couple inches here and there......
big headed son of a gun for sure, my biggest to date.... I am pumped and what a way to finish the day off... But in the end we still go home hungry... When released he bolted to the bottom without saying goodbye.... And caught on a sand shrimp intended for a keeper fish, man the nerve of this Oversized fish hitting something so small....... Thanks Tmike for a good day..

Grundens light weight pull over with Neoprene on the sleeves to keep out the water.. I use this one in summer and an heavy, heavy extreme fleece Grundens in winter. With same sleeves.. I like them cause my arms do not get wet no mater how many times I put my hands in the water... If it is really raining then throw on a normal rain jacket with hood and you'll never get wet..
