My boys and I drew Sinlahekin second deer tags (whitetail).  I’ve been out scouting a few times and plan on staying down low in the brush with the boys.  Anything else I should consider for next week besides making sure to have the boys triple check the ears and butts?

Check for ticks after each day of hunting.  There is a ton of them in the valley floor in the brush.

PM inbound.  There's whitetails in every wet bottom piece of the place, but boy howdy are there lots of hunters too.  Id be out and sit in the pre-dawn and let the others to the work.

Never had a tick on me there in 40 years from August through February.
