Can you expand on what you know? I think its important for us all to support organizations that promote/protect hunting, trapping and fishing,  but your comment make it seem as though they are a foe.

In a nutshell.....

Two members of the NTA voiced their opinions about how they dissaprove of the leadership of the NTA and called them out on some issues. The NTA then formed an ethics committee and found the members in violation of their rules. One member is banned for 1 year and the other is banned for life. Its unfortunate because those two members do a lot for the trapping community and are an asset.

While I don't agree with how this situation was handled it doesn't make sense to leave the NTA. I will continue to support the organization that does so much for trappers.

The benefits of NTA outweigh the disagreement between a few members. We are going to need NTA support to keep our trapping rights here in WA.

I think in this case people need to look at the big picture and still support an organization that supports sportsman and trappers alike… Plus the magazine is awesome.

Commenting to keep this in my feed
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.

I went to the NTA website, was going to get it for my buddy for Christmas but it doesn’t show the special. Do I have to print and mail it in?

Thanks!

Thanks Mustelidae, I’ll catch you at the winter fur sale.
I imagine you’ll be going to the St Maries sale. I will be. If you aren’t going to St Maries, I could take a form for Teacherman.

Everyone I talk to says it should be a similar market to last year. In march the average for cats at the ita sale was $390 and the average at the ifh sale was $250. So probably somewhere in that range. I think I saw a few western WA cats go for $75-$100.

According to Rusty Kramer:
"Bobcats have softened some but there is always strong demand for the top 5% of the bobcats caught in the west.  If you get bad bellied bobcats, leave the feet (properly dried) on them.  It will add $15 - $50 to the value for the wall hanger market. "
