Fawn with a little buck.
« on: June 08, 2009, 10:43:58 AM »
Never seen anything like this before.  The family and I went camping this weekend and had a great time.  Mid day on Saturday we went for a little drive to try and see some wildlife.  (scouting  :chuckle:)  Driving along we spotted some elk in a brand new clear cut so we stop to take some pictures. (sorry for the crappy quality).  There was about 6 of them and one was a little bull.

Some cows.

As we were taking picture of the elk I looked over and saw a deer.  Then realized there was a little fawn with it.

It turned out to be a little buck.  He was very interested in the little fawn and the fawn was following him.

It was pretty cute and my wife and three year old daughter were very excited to see the little fawn running and jumping all over the place.
Well I guess all the playing got the little fawn hungry so he started trying to nurse on the buck.

Well he didnt like that too much.  He kept jumping out of the way and finally walked off.  Never did see the doe, hopefully she is still around and will meet back up with the fawn.   :dunno:

I've seen the same thing.  Last year during early archery I saw a spotted fawn with a small 4 pt and a small 3 pt.  I took a poke at the 4 but missed.
