Chukar!!!
« on: December 27, 2023, 04:30:38 PM »
Hi. Heading over to Yakima Friday and taking the dog. Are there any friendly hunters that would like to help me out with a spot. Just to be clear I am asking for locations ( Just being honest). Any help would be appreciated.  I'll probably hit up Reds the next day to ensure the dog gets some birds.  I usually don't give up hunting spots unless it's for birds so hoping someone returns the favor, but if not I'm sure I'll end up at Oak Creek. The more the merrier if you would like to join.

Thank you

Rez had lots many years back on the north and south sides of the valley. Prolly still does. Not sure if you can hunt those hills anymore. Head north to the BLM along the canyon. Some areas burned this year. Creativity can get birds along the river. Don't look down. Look into YTC for any open areas

I think I'm going to hike up from Mud Lake about two miles and head west above the farms . Maybe I'll get lucky. In my experience if you spend enough time out there you'll get one. The problem with using your own research is that others have come to the same conclusion and I'll see them at the trailhead.

Seen a few birds around in the very few weekends I’ve been over there. Good luck and you may see me out looking at sheep this weekend.
