Well my son did!!! :chuckle: But first I would like to say what an awesome site. I have been lurking in the shadows for sometime waiting to have something good to write about. Now that I have that he drew a hangman any moose tag. I see from earlier post that it looks like alot of private land but we are ready to do the homework, scouting trips and whatever it takes. But i still have to ask the question " does anyone have any helpful tips on this unit?"
I hope when I die my wife doesn't sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them.

If you have access to a quad, you can get the permit to enter the Inland Empire Paper Co. on Mica Peak and there are lots of moose up there from what I seen last year, we had a cow tag and filled it on the first day (time constraints) so we only hunted a small portion of the area but seen lots of moose and one HUGE whitetail !!!
The essense of freedom is the proper limitation of government !!!

Look at this thread and see who drew hangman tags. Good info

I drew Selkirk Mtns Moose for 2009.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Wife drew Hangman B.  That is where I took my bull in 2001.  Anyone know if you need a permit for access up there?  I heard a few years after, they ended up charging for access.  Feel free to PM if you need info on that unit.

You gotta hunt the rut. It's EZ to learn to call. Use bull grunts, they love to fight. They come in better then elk. It's like they always come in to take a look. I made 3 grunts and mine came in tearring up the country. I got some video's last year to learn to call. The reason you use bull grunts is first they will come in, second, I had a bull coming in like a dog on a rope one morning. So, I thought I'd rev him up with a cow call. All that did was piss off his cow and she started whining and turned him around. I called him in the next morning, he showed himself across this meadow a 300 yds. I didn't call anymore because he wasn't big enough for me. But he had me pin pointed and came with in 30 yds of before I got outta there.
