Jackelope that was 3 yrs ago!!! lol and was refering to some posts about a hunt lol sorry hunting 30 straight days and couldnt tag a decent bull not like he was holding out for a absolute monster. so u take out of context out of a conversaation 3 yrs ago and post pieces, sounds like todays media  :chuckle:

maybe i should post the link if you don't like the pieces or taking stuff out of context.
that thread on another site where you made those comments was a year and a half ago...not 3. not that that makes any difference. sounded to me by reading the story that  the hunter was hunting A single bull they had seen early on in the hunt.

I cant even begin to grasp the concept of hunting 30 days and couldn't shoot a big bull, all I have to say is WOW and what a disappointment for the hunter.

Hey Shane, was this post about me? If so, you should know I was not disappointed!!! I found the bull I was looking for and stayed on him to the end, in the end the bull won but I have memories to last me a lifetime and am not disappointed. I ended up with a great bull and am proud that I stuck to my goal. The fact that he had dropped means nothing to me, it was all about the hunt and the time and memories I spent with family and good friends while doing it. I will never forget that hunt, and have a large debt to pay to those that helped me along the way, but never will I feel "disappointed" ;)
The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first!

I think it's just that you came accross poorly in that MM thread Shane.  Say you are sorry, full of crap, or drunk when you posted it and let's move on.  Hopefully reality has set in and you realize you aren't going to just walk up there and shoot a 200" bull.

Good luck on the hunt and hopefully you can get past this issue and enjoy the hunt for what it is, not for the score.  There are a lot of impressive looking 140" moose out there.  Score isn't important in moose hunting as it doesn't really correlate well to the biggest or most impressive looking bull.  If you get hung up on score you probably won't have a very memorable experience.

Man, I love this bar.

Shane - Please do keep posting stories and pics.  The sad reality is most of us will never draw a OIL tag and living vicariously through friends and internet stories is about as close as we'll come to a real moose kill.

Yep Chris!  ;) hopefully you will be along when it happens! I think everyone who has drawn this tag has hunted just the mountain the starr rd access. That just limits you to the mountain , so much more to this unit. I am after a wow factor type bull, if it means a big unique bull that scores like crap oh well, score isn't all, I have in my mind what I want.I am spending just about every free day I can scouting, I am confident that we will find THAT bull. Thanks to all that have offered to help and the words of encourgement , u know who you are :-)

Shane, we are going to kill a monster! no doubt in my mind!
I already got people looking in area of that unit that other people dont even think of hunting.
and to make it all even better, we are going to get it on film, so all the doubters can watch on their TV's  :IBCOOL:
