tag soup for me
« on: June 14, 2009, 09:17:40 AM »
well this is the first year Ive hunted bear and didn't tag one.the last two weeks its allergies killing me.I cant have the shots I need because of liver testing going on,still haven't found anything out on that.trucks breaking down, low snow,funerals..I can make all the excuses but that's just life..I called in a small one and passed.I call that okay in my book.I had some good hikes found 3 sheds so all in all I'm okay with the turn out.Oyeah I did get the chocolate bear back from peters,it was 19inch so I did get a bear,LOL

awww the allergen battle i know it well, i have terrible allergies. last year doc prescribed nasonex (nasal spray) and xyzal (pills) when used together they really work awesome. and if symptoms start to creep up on me in the woods that spray is almost instant, theres some sort of steroid in it and it works fast. every year i would go through literal hell with my allergies even having my throat swell on bad days making it hard to breath but since using these two products the worst has been a little itchy eyes and a scratchy throat that goes a way with a little spray

Rasbo. sounds like you had a good year out there enjoying the outdoors and that is all that matters, good for you to be able to turn away from the lil guy a lot of people can't.

I guess thats why they call it hunting and not killing. At least you hunted hard in there and didn't waste the tag like some guys do.

Make sure to use lots of spices and cook low & slow to tenderize. :chuckle:
