Best week for Easterns
« on: April 10, 2024, 05:42:44 AM »
Realized I won't be able to make the opener for Easterns this year due to work commitments.   Also my spot is hit hard the first week.   That said is there a preferred week for Easterns (western WA)?  For those of you that have been successful,  have you got them later in the season?  Been trying for the trifecta but the Easterns have me working hard.

I have friends that used to go in early May and they did pretty good, my son in law are missing this opener but will be there the following weekend.  IMHO, you'll be fine.

Early seems to be better for Easterns. They seem to educate a little easier and be a little hotter early on. But don’t let that discourage you, they’re still a turkey and are callable every day of the season. I feel like I remember someone on here that is a really good west side hunter that hunted almost the entire season and ended up calling one in and killing it with only a day or a couple days left of season.
