Sure and the hell wish I could see pictures at work.   Its been awhile since I've seen a nice spruce in Wa.  Saw a bucnh up in Alaska.

Yep - jealous indeed, as these are especially nice images. 

I haven't even seen one of these birds yet.  I know a retired Fish & Wildlfie biologist who knows where some are, and he offered to take me in to see 'em.  Thing is, it's a full day's hike up to where they are.  That means having to pack overnight gear.  Ties up three days - one to hike in, one to photograph them, one day hiking out.  The summer is already getting quite full - don't know if I have 3 consecutive days that are open. 

Maybe someone knows where some are that are more accessible?

One more. I think the head is slightly out of focus. I should have closed down the aperture some or backed away a little to get more DOF.
