Swarovski EL Range TA
« on: June 17, 2024, 10:59:37 AM »
Anyone have any real time experience with these? Thinking about upgrading my old SLC 10x42 to the NL Pure 12x42. Currently using a Gunwerks BR2500 for my rangefinder and it's been spot on. If the EL Range is close to the NL Pures and the ballistic part is as good as my BR2500 I wouldn't mind eliminating once piece of gear. It would just be so much quicker to get a read then to put my binos down and grab my rangefinder, when I could have just pushed a button while I'm already on the animal. Would like to hear from those that have one to get their opinions on how well it works. Thanks

Been running them for about 2 years.... happy with the choice, the ballistics work fantastic, the optics are about the same as my 10x50 slc. which are good , but I did expect or hoped for better.

The app is pretty easy to use, I wish there were more than 3 rifle options.  The display is actually my biggest complaint, the lettering is a little faint and in bright sunlight can be hard to read.

I have some time on the Vortex Fury 5000s and while they aren't apples to apples because of price difference, the optical difference in the Swaro's is worth the price.

I bought mine pre-order when they first came out.  I’m a huge 2 in 1 fan and they make sense for my style.

Most of my buddies have bought them since.  Pretty slick.  I’ve killed critters way out there with them.

So you don't enter your ballistic info

You do.

You can store 3 different rifles' ballistics in it and switch between. Don't need to re-enter everything when you switch guns.

Perfect, I was thinking it was only giving me three options and I just had to choose something that was close like Leupold's rangefinder

one of my complaints is that you only have 3 rifles, can't see why it couldn't be 10.....
