Wonderful job on an incredibly poorly skinned bear.  I truly hope you get the money out of it that should reflect the work you put into it.  Man, that was a bad skinning job.

Michelle that was a awesome job.  Very nice recovery for sure.  I watched a guy skin a bear in the same fashion one time, he wouldn't listen, so came time for him to turn it in to the taxi after tanning, they gave it back to him and said maybe a shoulder mount would be better for you, except the face was hacked also......   You got some talent for sure recreating that one....

Maybe just a gun rack with two front paws to hold the rifle...

Yep I know the kind cohoho, I get a few like this every year.  That is why I charge to make repairs like this.  Because if I do it for free their really isn't an insintive for the hunter to do it right next time.  It took almost an entire working day for me to repair this bear and get it stretched.  When it should have only taken me a couple hours to get it stretched and sew up the arm pits and bullet holes.  If I would have done the repairs for free I would have been making way less than minimum wage.

Actually I think you would have been paying the hunter to fix his screw ups

I have never skinned a bear. It took me a few trys to get a buck caped right. I found is is best to just take my Taxidermist on hunting trips with me and have him do it right in the field.

Wow, Michelle, that is remarkable. Very nice work. Now if you could just work on puting hair back on those rub spots.
