Dove Opener
« on: August 27, 2024, 07:40:04 PM »
Who's hitting the doves this coming weekend?  I will miss the the first and second, but will he hunting the third and fourth.  I am hoping the recent little cold snap didn't convince a few to fly South.  Hoping to see some hunting reports from y'all this weekend!

Locked down permission for dove this week. My son & I are ready to go! Always a pretty joyous occasion the first day of dove and use to be grouse. Wish Grouse still opened on the 1st.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

Always sucks when the 1st falls on Labor Day Weekend. Dave Matthews Band added significant cost to my hotel stay this year, these are going to be some expensive doves...

Our spot was not hot at all this morning. There was a few around. My boy got 3, and I never fired a shot. He is out with friends now. Breakfast burritos lured me back to the house. Maybe go out this evening :dunno:

Went to a traditionally good evening hunting spot this afternoon. Was a good shoot. Nice pace. None of us limited, 16 between the 3 of us hunting tonight. We got enough for jalapeno poppers!!

Where is a good area from Spokane to Grand Coulee to take a young kid for his first dove hunt? PM me if you like. Thanks in advance!
