Norma BondStrike Ammo
« on: January 11, 2025, 09:05:00 AM »
I came across a sale on 30.06 Norma BondSrike ammo. It's advertised for elk, and research on Google and YouTube are mixed about using them for elk. The nay sayers say they are too soft. Just wondering if anyone on here has used them on elk and their experiences with them.

Vr,
Tim

I know someone that exclusively shoots the 180gr Norma bondstrike ammo in their Tikka 300 WSM and he has been extremely happy with not only how well it shoots in his rifle but how it has performed on deer, elk, and black bear.  He doesn't reload but with the way that stuff consistently shoots in his rifle I can see why.  I did a range trip with him a couple different times to chronograph that stuff and it surprisingly was fairly close to what they claimed on the box as well as the ES was in the mid 30's which for factory ammo is very good and that was shooting stuff from two different Lot#'s

Thanx for the reply. If anyone is interested,  30.06 is on sale at Midway USA for about $32 per box.
