F&W related bills dead
« on: February 23, 2025, 02:11:40 AM »
1685, making F&W a Cabinet agency
5728 restructuring the Commission
1930 restructuring the Commission
1825 allowing the importation of grizzly bears
5482 stopping county agents from using dogs

All died after failing to make the out of committee cut off

Only one left is 1775, banning fur production. Still alive in the House.

Ah shucks, I was so looking forward to waking up to a Grizzly bear in camp, making me breakfast.

Just for this session. All can be brought back next session. Stay vigilant.

Good news. We need to keep sending the emails to oppose the anti sportsman bills.

The commission bills were always going to die this year- even the sponsors knew it. The goal was to start the dialogue so they can pick it up again next year and trying get them across the line in 26 or 27

Humptulips, I appreciate you staying engaged and keeping us posted on all of these bills. Thank you.
I beg to dream and differ from the hollow lies

In November U.S. manufacturing contracted for the the ninth consecutive month. Layoffs across the economy are higher than anytime since the pandemic in 2020 and I just read that the Midwest farmers will be receiving a 12B bailout due to 50 year trade relationships being destroyed. I have to admit that I was a sceptic and didn't believe in the effectiveness in tariffs but I'm a believer now.
