Montana is beautiful.  They also have good game populations (more on the elk side than mule deer right now, but both are better than wa).  Outside of a few units MT is managed for opportunity so don't expect great trophies.  But it's a fun place to hunt and I have family there so it fits the bill in a lot of ways

How long does it usually take to get your tag mailed to you?

Until you lose your phone.  Losing my phone would suck.  Losing my phone and tag at the same time has been my hang up.

I like the old school separation.

A little paranoid about the state getting all the location information and then letting it walk out the door.

I've never lost a phone in the 22ish years I've had a cell phone but I've definitely had to buy duplicate tags and licenses on multiple occasions  :chuckle: My phone is my camera, my communication, my navigation,  and my mapping. No way I lose that over my paper tags :twocents:

It's been discussed before but there is no location tagging with the app.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

I have never lost my phone either but it would make a bad day even worse.

It is the same for me (always on it for mapping, camera etc).  I haven’t lost a paper tag yet.

I get both sides.
